I did indeed mean E1. And while I agree that this move would sell a few
cameras, what may also happen is that if people on this list buy a body
only, and just use it with OM lenses, I guarantee we will start to hear
all sorts of bitching about the image quality, handling, etc. of the E-1
- which will hardly sell cameras for Olympus. ;-)

Assuming you meant E-1 rather than OM1, what it might do is push a few
folks
off the fence and those few might also help to push a few more and so
on.

Rather
than having to buy a body and 2 or 3 lenses, I could get my feet wet for
the
price of a body and probably 1 lens. Could be done with no lenses.
What I think
would happen is they would end up selling all the lenses they wanted to
sell
as people started using the camera and appreciating the differences
between the
E-1 lens and their "old" OM lenses. It would give the user an
opportunity to
transition over a period of time. What they need to do is generate more
