Yes, f8 is acceptable if the picture is not critical in the edges.
Resolution at 3.5 and 5.6 is not good, but bad ;-(
you can get an impression of the resolution when you get a look to the upper
left and upper right corners - at f8 it becomes okay (for 14mm). But it is
NOT a lens for reprolike photography.
