I am in agreement with you Mike. It seems the OT chatter and one line quips
and replies has almost totally dominated the list lately. Maybe it is the
holiday season, or just a passing thing. But I was also wondering if the
interest in OM things is starting to fade.

Perhaps on topic: It looks as if I have to put together a kit for a trip to
Bolivia next month. Things to consider include: need to keep the total kit
light, lighting problems because of high altitude (above 12,000 feet)
photography and extreme daytime shadows, problem of petty theft, trying to
get good flash pics (12 hours of darkness at the equator) in unfamiliar
conditions like in buildings made of all brown mud blocks, discreet
photography in the markets and cities, getting film through all those
airport scanners, travelling in extreme dust conditions.
Some of the stuff I have to chose from: OM1n, OM2s, OM10, OMPC, OM2000, some
RC's, Oly Epic 2.8, Trip35, Yash*c* GSN, C5050. For lenses: Samyang 18-28,
then 28, 35, 50, 100, 135, 200, Viv.28-80 , Tokina ATX 28-85, Viv
28-85/2.8-3.8 (too heavy?), Kiron 80-200, doublers 1.5 &2x, flashes such as
t20, t32, and of course filters and assorted other things.
Here is what I'm thinking right now: OM2s with 28, 35 and 50mm, and 2 or 3
49mm filters 81a and polarizer, Olympus RC, Olympus Epic w2.8, Olympus S20
flash for the RC, and t32 for the OM2s. Elitechrome 100 EC film only,
Kodachrome 64 is staying home this time. Maybe some print film of some sort.
Questioning the C5050. If it goes, something else has to stay home.
No tripods.
What is a possibility: Switching the OM2s for either the 1n or the PC.
Taking a short zoom like 28-85, and leaving some primes at home.
Stuff I would like but don't have: 1. Wide prime, such as Viv. 17 or 19mm or
Z. 21mm. The 18-28 is too heavy for this trip. 2. Maybe a XA.
3. Your opinions.
