There is an eighth edition, 1988, ISBN 0240512685
There are plenty of sixth and seventh editions (as well as editions going
back to 1910!) available in UK and US from abebooks. All between USD5 and
USD10. The eighth is not so common, but there are at least a couple listed
there or at amazon marketplace.
I would always recommend abebooks over that auction site for books - for
example they have nine copies of Mannheim's book listed at present, ranging
from USD90 to USD500. They had one copy listed for USD30, but that went
ages ago - to me :-) It had a thrift/charity shop price label, 75cents :-(

Subject: [OM] The Manual of photography
My copy of this book (got it off yaBe) just arrived today. I remember that
in the discussion there was some confusion regarding the publisher (Ilford
or Focal Press). My edition is by Focal Press so at first I thought there
might be 2 different books with similar titles.
However, I checked in the dust cover and it notes that it was originally The
Ilford Manual of Photography, first published in 1890.
My edition is the 7th, first published in 1978. It looks like the change in
title took place with the 6th edition, first published in 1971.
Incidentally, the 7th edition was the latest edition I was able to find on
yaBe, not sure if there is a more recent one or not.
