Brace yourself for the possibility of a pleasant surprise with the
Spiratone lens. Back in the late '60s and until about 1977 or so,
I had a 100/2.8 Spiratone that was a really, really great lens.
As I recall, it cost $40 brand new. It and the Pentax Spotmatic
it was mounted on are the only two bits of photo kit I have ever
had stolen. Knock on wood.
