According to the Modern tests, the Vivitar/Phoenix/etc. 19-35/3.5-4.5
has half the barrel distortion at 19mm as the Samyang at 18mm, still
significant, but much less. The 19-35 is also quite sharp at the wide
end in their test. I've found it to be quite a nice lens.
