The 3rd-party site says that older super-wides are generally very UNsharp. If
you can't find one in your budget, you can pick up a panorama stitcher program
and build your own. I have stitched a bunch of views from a 28mm and it's
imperfect but it's an option. I think the modern 19-28mm zooms may be the best
*cheap way to get a superwide. Everyone says that have to use them at f8 to
get acceptable results though.
