I believe C.H. was referring only to a trade-off between image size and
brightness in the finder image with any given lens speed, in response to
Winsor's speculation about such a trade-off, which was, in turn, a
comment on Skip's comment on low finder magnification in the E-1 he
tried. I'm sure C.H. isn't proposing any decrease in lens speeds.

For E-system I prefer to lost 1 stop to get the finder 100% bigger
(in area). Not for the OM, it is big enough :-)

- Finder - This put me off a bit, but I'm sure it is
something that you could get used to. The finder mag is so
low that there is a lot of black space around the frame. I
felt like I was looking down a tube, rather than the open
finders of the OM's and Leica M's that I typically use. I
guess that if I wore glasses all the time, this might be
much better. B.D. - Opinions?
I think it is a trade off between magnification and
brightness. Make it too big and it is going to look dim.
