Thanks guys, the 35-105 it is then. I was considering simply replacing a
35-70/3.5-4.5 I had that died a year or so back but I like the idea of the
extra reach of the 35-105 and the 55mm filter size fits nicely with a couple
of other lenses.

Let me say just this one thing about the 35-105/3.5~4.5 Zuiko:
I've got the 35-80/2.8 Zuiko and a 28-105/2.8 Tamron. I still
regularly use the 35-105 Zuiko. It's the main part of
my "travelin' light" kit. Optically, it may be a smidgen better
than the Tamron and a hair worse than the other Zuiko, but you'd
have to be a really picky so and so to be concerned about it.
