Not to put too fine a point on it, but the last sentence of that
paragraph says, "The Relay Cord can also be used with other DC
power sources and remote control equipment." What else might that
be?
My copy was printed March, 1979, so it's probably the same as
yours, but the control pack manual I quoted from was printed two
years later.
And although I've used the control pack/relay cord combo only a
few times, I've never had a problem with the cord coming loose
from the pack and the combination worked fine.
