Hi Sam,
Have you ever seen a black 250 in the flesh? The one for sale on Ebay has a
white distance scale on the back of the focusing ring. I'm looking at a picture
of a black 250 as a write this and the lens in the photo is all black.
Perhaps the user found the black surfaced distance scale hard to read. Neat
lens.
Priced out of my range.
