It's normal. They are the shadow of the tension wires for the shadow mask. It's
a characteristic of Trinitron tubes, especially. Mitsubishi has been using
trinitron-type picture tubes for a long while in their products (although I
don't know if they're true Trinitron tubes, which are Sony's patent).

showing across the screen, 6cm (2.5 inches) from the top and the bottom
