That's probably wise; I think that the law of dimishing returns might
apply if an upgrade becomes necessary... or is that the Paradox of
Strategy (Eduard Luttwak)?
... ramble, ramble... ;-)
The main reason for my upgrading to the Minolta was that the Canoscan
did not come with decent support for the Mac (OSX). Add to that the
problems of a slightly incompatible SCSI board in my G4 Mac as an
alternative to the USB 1.1 connection with the Canoscan, and the
Minolta's Firewire/USB2 started to look very attractive. And I managed
to sell my Canoscan to a delightful German lady who met me under a
water tower on the Great North Road (the A1) and the whole process was
a pleasure... ;-)
