[OM] Cheap macro twin flash

Over the last couple of years I've accumulated all the bits to make just the
set up described, but have struggled to find or make a usable bracket. With
the weight of the flashes I don't want to mount to the lens - the best idea
I've seen uses two flexible stems like those used on desk lamps. These can
be bent into position at will and should handle even a T-32. This was in an
8 year old magazine and I haven't found a real one yet.

However, still unable to afford a T-28 twin, my next idea is to butcher two
T-20s and a T-32 to make my own. First remove the flash reflectors/ bulbs
from all three units, then connect the T-20 reflectors, on foot long leads,
to the power going to the T-32 reflector in parallel. Should be very simple
electrically - no need for any elctronic work, just connecting leads. Hey
presto, twin flash with very light weight heads, and the T-32 sits in the
hotshoe. Should work on auto too, output could be varied with ND filters.
Again the bracket is the problem, but without the weight should be easier,
and could mount to the lens. Without buying all the leads and connectors it
would probably work out cheaper too.

So, can anyone with any experience tell me, in principle, if this would
work. (ie swapping one flash bulb for two, in parallel. Please no lectures
on the dangers of electric shocks from flash capacitors ;-).
