No, it was just a simple tripod setup. I don't recall the exact exposure
time, but it's likely to be much shorter than a second, thus no need for
tracking -- at 300 mm.
My only tracked pic with the Zuiko 300/4.5 so far is a 10 minute exposure
on Ilford Delta 3200, of M31, the Andromeda galaxy:

I've got several tracked exposures with shorter lenses. Unfortunately, the
astrophotography section on my web page is still under construction, and
has *a lot* of work to do... However, a while ago I posted a link to some
