At least with B&W film, rubbing vaseline (but NOT on the emulsion side!)
does miracles hiding scratches. Got impressive results on Ilford 100
DELTA...
For less deep scratches, just touching the tip of the nose with your
finger, and then rubbing that finger on the film (as before) may help -- no
kidding!
