The sequence may be the key.
If you mis-stick a label, then burn at 40x, you're asking for trouble.
On the other hand if you burn at 40x, apply the label at 0x, and actually read
it in an old-technology 8x drive, it would never fly
apart since 40x never "sees" the label.
Make sense? Do 40x burners also try to read the table of contents at 40x?
