Hi all,
I've got from the bay a "for parts, jammed" OM-2S. After putting new
SR-44s, *almost* everything was fine: meter (OTF, spot and
centre-weighted), program mode, self-timer, etc.
The bad news is that the shutter jams at speeds below 1/60, both manual and
auto -- mirror up with shutter open, even after setting a mechanical speed
and/or removing the batteries (!). On the other hand, leaving the camera
unattended for a few minutes will unlock it (?).
BTW, 'B' and the mechanical '60' work flawlessly.
>From the experience of seeing the shutter open without batteries, it seems
to be a mechanical issue, and the circuit seems to work fine. Would it be
too difficult/expensive to return this body to full working order?
Thanks in advance,
...
