Unfortunately I can't remember whether the instructions that said that you
can leave the batteries in the charger more or less indefinitely applied to
the one-hour charger or to another overnight charger I had, or both. If I
can find the documentation, I'll try to clarify.

I read somewhere that NiMH do not tolerate being overcharged. If you
leave them on a trickle charger it is possible to ruin the batteries.
