The things the OM2000 has going for it are that are unique in OMdom are
the 1/2000 speed, 1/125 sec x-sync and mechanical mirror/aperture
prefire without battery. Since the self timer activated pre-fire is
mechanical, it can be set for a delay shorter than the full self-timer
delay, as short as about 4-5 sec.. It also has a spot meter in a
mechanical body much cheaper than the 3 series.

I've seen a few "reconditioned" OM-2000 cameras available on ebay. No thanks.
Based on what I've read here, the budget body to get
is the OM-10. If they slip into overexposure, it's apparently very easy to fix
at home (links on request).
