I'm curious -- how many shots are the other people here taking, and of
what?
Since the beginning of the year:
Flora macros: Kodachrome 64
Scenic/Landscape/Architectural: Kodachrome 64
TOPE 14: (TBA)
Extended family pix: Kodachrome 64
Editorial (Political campaign coverage): Royal Gold 200
Editorial (Public events): Royal Gold 200
Blues Bands: TMax P3200 (EI 1600)
Weddings: Portra 160NC and Fuji Press 1600
I've lost count of how much film I've burned since January. It's
substantial for me; definitely over 100 rolls. My wedding burn rate used
to be about 40+ frames per hour. It's now about 60 fph. The average
wedding is about 9 rolls of 135, one roll of 220 and one roll of Press
1600. If I can use flash during the ceremony, and it's desired by the
bride/groom, trade the Press 1600 for yet another roll of Portra
160NC. I'm buying Portra by the "stick" and "brick" in Pro Packs. A lot
gets burned in repetition of posed photographs, especially with large
groupings. Someone *always* blinks in at least one of them.
