Due to many Tokina fans praise on the Tokina 90 I have bought a like new set
(my standard is very tight) including the 1:1 adapter. Didn't make any test
with the 1:1 adapter, on the same roll and same scenes the Zuiko 90/2 was
having better resolution and color (I posted the test comparision here few
months ago). May be I got a bad sample but it was my experience.

I don't have your Tokina in my hands, and so it is possible that yours
was a dud, but I can tell you this:
My friend's got a Vivitar Macro, and a Minolta Macro (neither are too
shabby) but my Tokina blows the pants off both. Like I've said before,
my Tokina is so sharp that I can always pick out the pics I took with it
compared to my 50mm and my 28mm. I would love to show you on screen,
but the scans really suck and don't do it justice..
I had a few test shows where I compared my tokina at F2.5 vs my 50mm at
F8. I figured, if I was going to be biased, an F8 shot vs an F2.5 shot
would be about as biased as it got. Well, I could tell the difference,
the Tokina was STILL sharper at F2.5 than my 50mm at F8.
But I did remember seeing your test shots, and I would have to conclude
from those shots that the Zuiko was sharper..
After getting use to reading dpreview.com, I'm fairly tempted to blow a
roll on testing all my lenses..
