Here in the Frontier (that's as in wild, wild west, not as in Fuji), we all
have them. they perform many uses. In a pinch, with a long cord, we can use
them to brand our cattle. They are our last weapon in case of Indian attack.
A large one allows us to make field repairs on our stills (there's that long
cord again!). We just try to avoid using them after a big evening drinking
sarsparilla!
