Hang a Pentax 6x7 around your neck then a Mamiya 7 and you will
understand the advantages of MF rangefinders. Compared to a 35mm slr MF
rangefinders are not quick, are not inconspicuous, not flexible, they
provide big original images from a camera that can be carried.
There's a lot of opinions on the web that can more than prepare you to
look for what's important to you. google for Mamiya 7 (or whatever) and
you'll find dozens of thoughtful opinions or go to photo.net

The only reason to consider MF is if you make enLARGEments. Me ... I
love those 16"x20" prints.
