I tried posting earlier, but something went wrong, so here's a repost.
In this month's Taiwanese camera magazine, the feature article was
C*non's 10D vs. a Hassey 503CW.
The C*non had the 50mm f1.4 USM (which is said to be the sharpest in the
bag)
and the Hassey had the standard 80mm f2.8 planar.
The article gave full details on the setups, etc.. and after that, just
showed the pictures. They didn't give their conclusion, left that for
the reader to make.
They showed 3 pictures:
Hassey shot,
C*non 10D shot
C*non 10D shot after sharpening
Comparing raw images, the Hassey had about 2-3 times the detail. After
sharpening, it was much closer. Everything was shot at F8 and 1/125th,
on the same heavy tripod.
So digital isn't the MF killer... yet.
