Dan,
KEH sold me an OM-4T that had a problem. I returned it for exchange and an
OM-4 came back in it's place. The package in which it had been stored was
mislabeled. Happy ending, the situation was rectified to my satisfaction,
but not without a lot of the same feelings I think you are having right now.
Unfortunately, if a screen comes in a 1-4 box, you might assume it's a 1-4
screen. I've got a lot of boxes with 1-13 screens in them because that's
what came out of the camera when I put the new screen in. What else are
you going to do with the old screen?
Is it incompetence? Well, yes. But since I don't really know what's in my
screen boxes myself, I have some empathy. I know that KEH will make it
right. Scott Foust in particular is a first-rate person to deal with. If
you don't get satisfaction soon, call him directly or I can give you his
email address.
