I don't doubt more than acceptable results with many lenses not listed as
recommended. Indeed. like Walt, I try it on non listed and non-Oly lenses
to make sure there is no mechanical conflict and try it out of it fits.
I've mutually abused a 2X-A with a 300/4.5 even though the 1.4X-A is the
only of the two TC's listed for it. Works quite nicely producing a slow
600/9 lens, but quite excellent in the contrast/resolution. The biggest
problem is eliminating camera shake. I use a very floppy cable release
with it now after discovering the stiffer one can cause visible shake in
the viewfinder.
I've also used it with a 135/2.8 and 200/4, with equally excellent results,
albeit controlling shake wasn't nearly an issue.
