The 135/4.5 is a sort of odd, but effective lens. It will work perfectly
with bellows, but is at it's best paired with the 65-116 tube (which,
oddly enough, is an adjustable length auto extension tube that goes from
65mm to 116 mm extension.) Unlike the other, shorter, macro lenses, with
the 65-116, the 135/4.5 focuses to infinity. It only focuses close to
0.43x, greater magnification being officially the provenance of the
shorter fl macro lenses. Like the other auto macro lenses meant to be
used with the 65-116, it has a short focusing helicoid for fine focus,
since fine focus adjust isn't possible with the 65-116, unlike with
bellows. It is officially not to be used with further extension tubes,
although listees have reported successfuly doing so.
The huge advantage of a long macro is the longer working distance to
minimize startling living subjects.

super! i'm guessing the 135/4.5 is a bellows or extension mount
lens...how did you manage to get close enough to shoot w/o them flying
off?
