*ALL* 'pods "get in the way." I don't think that's the point. You have to
decide if it's going to be worth it, or if it's just more of a
nuisance. On my last trip to France, I was really glad I *didn't* take a
'pod of any description, but the trip before, we had lots of indoor
shooting opportunities that I managed to miss 'cause I couldn't do
effective handholding in the low light. YMMV.
