Different manufacturers have different color casts characteristic of
their lens lines, as well as variation within lines. Most try to make
all their lenses have more or less the same 'look', which also includes
balance between resolution and contrast, etc. Your assumption that a
Mamiya 50/2 had the same color balance when new as a Zuiko or Pentax
lens is not necessarily correct. It seems less likely to me that it
shifted than that it was different from the beginning.
