Brian,
Have you got this right....Low melting point grease? Surely since
this melts easier..ie at a lower temperature...it is more likely to get
where it is not wanted. I would have thought a better idea would be the
tiniest amount of WD40 smeared on the flange with a cotton bud and then
wiped off. The traces of residue left should have the desired result.
