I have never noticed any problem, other than that fixed aperture zooms are
obviously to be preferred. A variable aperture zoom such as the Oly 35-105
3.5-4.5 will cause a change in light value when you zoom. The original Oly
zooms, such as the 75-150 f4 and the 85-250 f5, will not give the same
problem.

Hello,
I heard that the zoom lenses throw off the meters on the earlier OM's. Can
someone explain this to me? Why does it happen and how many f-stops the
error is? Is there a scheme to eliminate the problem?
Many thanks in advance
