3. Putting the hood on top of any filter will make it cover a narrower angle. Moving the same circle further away makes it subtend a narrower angle. I have fitted the 35/2.0 metal hood on the 35-105/3.5-4.5 zoom, because I find the specific 35-105 rubber hood too big (it is deeper and therefore wider, so it does not fit easily in a compartment of my bag). Also, the screwing metal hood is much more solidly attached than the clamp-on rubber hood. Of course I guess that the hood will be less useful at the 105mmm focal length. But... there is a Skylight filter on the lens. Will the 35/2.0 hood cause vignetting, has anyone used this combo?
