OK, guys and gals. What's the thing-a-ma-jiggie to the immediate left
of the E-system body in this shot from the dpreview article?

It's not mentioned in the article at all. Is it a multiplier or is
it... or is it.. an OM adapter??????
Note the the female side of the bayonet flange on top seems to be larger
than the male side on the bottom. Just what you might expect for an
adapter stepping the OM size down. On the other hand, maybe the shadows
are disguising the true size of the bottom flange.
Although the top flange kind of looks like an OM flange I note that it
has 4 mounting screws and also appears to have a brass pin sticking up.
Anybody got any other ideas?
