Heh...when I was inducted into an honors frat at school last year there
was this whole little ceremony with candle-lighting, bell-ringing and
calligraphy in a "book of the ages" to be placed in a time capsule.
Then the president of the chapter got up and gave a speech about how
we're all members because of our genetics more than our hard work and
that we should look for love among those in our elite genetic circle.
April and I looked around and it looked like a regional Dungeons and
Dragons convention. I never saw any pocket protectors or slide rules,
but the people joining me in the ceremony weren't exactly fresh off the
runway at a New York fashion show, either. We skipped the "social"
after the induction. ;-)

Let's get this right. A convention that begins on Valentine's day.
Either
these people are all single, too socially inept to get married, or
just
about to be divorced.
