I had in the past used the Beattie plain matte screens, then I had John
etch a couple for me two years ago or so. These screens are very bright and
the glass quality seems quite high--very little distortion out to the corners.
Whether or not the OM 2-x screens represent an improvement is hard to say.
You couldn't prove it by my experience. I bought three (again from John,
and again with his four lines etched), installed two, leaving one of the
Beatties in my oldest 4T, and I'll be damned if I can tell the difference.
The lines which John will etch are extremely thin (utilitarian). He does
the best work, always.
Good luck.

Subject: [OM] Beattie Intenscreen vs. OM 2-X screen
Hello list,
On the web-surf I happened to see the Beattie Intenscreen. The focusing
screen looks like very bright and convenience. If anyone has the one or
using now, please compare it with OM's 2-X screen.
