Wow. Well, that seems like Apple shooting itself in the foot to me.
MacWorld is a really big part of the Apple community. People talk about
it and look forward to it for months. It's one of those things that
really fosters a sense of community among Apple users.

lost the stare down contest. Apple finally said it would attend the
one in San Francisco with nothing said about the future. There has
been lots of speculation that Apple is not crazy about them. They
cancelled the one in Japan this year.
