I have a 135/2.8 which fell, and although the lens itself appears to
be OK (it is not visibly damaged, and produces good pictures), the
built-in hood (which was extended when the lens fell) is visibly
dented, to the point that it has become difficult to extend/retract.
Is it possible for a non-technical person like me to remove the hood,
try to work it into a smoother appearance with a hammer or other
tool, and put it back on the lens? The problem is that I cannot find
how to remove it from the lens in the first place ;-)
