Correction:
Robert Capa's German RF was a Zeiss Ikon Contax II made in the 1930's. He
carried it and a Rollei TLR during the D-Day invasion at Normandy, and used
them both (somewhat ironic that both his cameras were German). The ZI
Contax II was one of the two RF's around his neck when he was killed by a
land mine in the early 1950's. The other was a Nikon S?? made during the
early 1950's. Very similar to the Zeiss Ikon Contax in appearance, lens
mount and operation except the Nikon has a horizontal cloth shutter (the ZI
Contax II, III, IIa and IIIa all have vertical metal shutters).
