On a 4x6, most people will see little difference between the two cameras,
when the photos are shot outside with an average-lit subjects.
(blastphany, I know, I know)
There IS a difference, but 990f the people won't see it, they only care
about the subject. This may be a better tactic and attitude for both the
users, the consumers of the photos, and the sellers, in the end. That
doesn't mean that I endorse the advertising methodology, mind-you.
(That not withstanding, I see a noticable difference between the 4x6's
taken with my Contax T2 and those with a "normal" P&S. So it can be seen.)

Subject: [OM] Digital Camera fraud/false advertising
My gf wants a digital camera, because all her friends have one. A lot
of them, (almost all of them here in taiwan) advertise "professional
quality pics". Whatever that means.
Well, This guy in the store is showing pics from a Leica M6 with Fuji
Velvia, shot from a tripod, and is telling the "little girls" that if
you buy this digital camera, "you too!!" can achieve this kind of results.
Errr... When did a 2-3 megapixel P&S give you Leica + Velvia + Gitzo
--like qualities???
:barf: The amount of false advertising to sell to the masses disgusts me.
Albert
