My thoughts entirely Winsor... I have had my OM1N sitting quietly on
my desk recently (well they are pretty quiet aren't they?) and it
disuades me from going digital yet.
... and I have found an XA4 which I hope will arrive in a couple of
days; hurrah!
(XAs can be carried in coat pockets, thus fooling my wife into
thinking that we are going for a walk walk, rather than a walk
photograph something walk).

My feeling too. I am not averse to a digital system if it produces
better images, but there is no way I am going for an autofocus,
three button menu driven computer for my main camera, film or
digital. I am sure that the next step is to be able to plug the
camera into a lap top to set the controls - so far from what a
photographer needs as to be a parody.
