I wouldn't worry about it (with yellow jackets especially :-) ). I've done
the same with butterflies. A couple days ago a bumble bee spent most of the
day on my back step, taking all day to crawl about 3 feet. Natural October
cold slowed him down. I thought about trying to get a picture, but am sure I
couldn't have anywhere near matched yours. Really amazing.
