That wouldn't be so bad if they jacked up the lenscap and drove in a 'new'
lens from the 'brand new lenses we keep around for spare parts' inventory...
and realistically, Olympus is going to compare the $2100 to the list price
new of the lens, which is ??? ($8000? -- more?? I don't know). I'd pay 25%
of new list to get my 8/2.8 repaired, if only they'd do it.
