If you sent a 4T to Olympus (also 9 years from now) and you knew in advance
that "no parts were available for sale" but they could fix the body
(possibly by swapping the bottom cover of your 20+ year old - beat up - P O
S onto a clean, working, class 2 body, ((their decision, you couldn't
request it)), would you allow them to do it, or would you scream at them and
start suing?
I'd take the class 2 body.

What is a class 2 body?
I really doubt the OM4T will be supported 9 years from now. Even
though Olympus just discontinued the system they seem to be using the
date of the last production run for a particular component as the
discontinuation date. I imagine that if I take my OM4T to Olympus in
9 years they will probably say it was discontinued in 1998 or 1999 or
whenever the last one was built.
