Question one: What is the difference in the value of the two cameras?
Lots if you mean price, or you think a mechanical shutter is
important, and will not miss the self timer. Switching your OM4Ti to
manual will make it indistinguishable from an OM3Ti except the
shutter will not work without a battery. Of course the meter will
not work without a battery with either one and I find I am not much
interested in guessing exposure anymore. I am not in sunny 16
conditions all the time. On the other hand I hand, I have never had
batteries fail when I did not have spares. So manual shutter is not
important to me. Electronic shutters are generally more accurate.
Question two: All things considered, why is the OM-3Ti supposedly worth
more than the OM-4Ti?
Rarity.
Question three: Assuming a fellow already has a perfectly good OM-3, is it
worth giving up a OM-4Ti to get an OM-3Ti?
Using the FP flash, and bragging about the titanium underneath as the
paint flakes off.
Question four: Will any opinions expressed in response to these questions
have any bearing on my decision?
