Some sources claim that Epson is discontinuing the 2450 Photo flatbed
scanner next month - it is popular with photographers because it can scan
transparencies and negatives including 35 mm up to 4x5. Generally well
reviewed even for 35 mm, but very well reviewed for medium and large
format - especially on a price basis. If you have been putting off buying
one, as I have, now might be the time.
Gary,
I am very pleased with the results of this scanner, at bigger (6x6)
negatives it is not the fastest, but quality is very good in my opinion. If
you like so I could send you some scans made of negatives, just ask. Try to
go for the version with the silverfast software however, this really makes
more out of your scanner, very good software! If you have more specific
questions, feel free to ask.
