Or would that be the Fiat? >>
I would prefer to think "Audi" but anyway ;-)...
I walked into a local store recently that is part of a chain best described
as "Big Bad xxxx" or "Sittin' On The xxxx" ;-) The salesman informed me that
they choose at a corporate level not to sell Olympus digital "due to to many
problems" and "Olympus' Internet Sales program competing" (hmm, I hope he
didn't mean "The Olympus Emporium" where they sell everything at MSRP). Said
sales "professional" went on to explain that "all the big retailers
including Circuit City" are dumping Olympus (which was a bold faced lie, but
anyway...)
And...
<< All I know is, when I DO decide to go digital shopping, brand loyalty be
damned. Oly is going to have to stand up to the others and CONVINCE ME, or
lose out. I can't afford to go out and buy new digital stuff every 6 - 18
mos.
O.K., stone me. I'm from the OLD school. >>
Under that basis I am surprised you found OMs in the first place. If you
don't want to buy digital stuff every 6 - 18 months, either wait (perhaps a
long time) for technology to start to level off, or, don't get all wrapped
up in a Marketing driven horsepower race between the mega and mondo pixel
wunders of the world ;-)
BTW, that latest all metal pocket sized digital offering from Olympus looks
like a lovely P&S. Now, if only it were as inexpensive as a Stylus
Epic...(on manufacturing costs alone I bet it could be--darn R&D costs).
