They are all of an age where the foam seals around the back cover will be
going bad -- if they haven't been replaced, they'll need to be.
Sometimes oil will migrate onto the aperture blades, jamming them. To
check, set the lens to the manual f/2.8 setting and watch the blades as
you press the release -- they should move. Also, if there's "play" in
the lens assembly (i.e., if it "wobbles"), there are some loose screws
inside -- it will need to be serviced by someone who knows how.
