Hi,
Firstly to say how glad I am that John escaped with so little injury from the
automobile accident. With such a weight difference the story could have
ended quite differently.
Yesterday I sent my son (in University 200 miles away, 2nd year law &
commerce) half a dozen mounted enlargement prints of my photos to hang
on a vacant wall of his room, and he got them today. To my surprise I had a
phone call from him tonight saying something about them being awesome (or
something) and his friends asked "is your Dad a photographer?"
"No, no", says son - "he just dabbles in it".
(Translation awesome = a slang word here which is an exaggeration) The
prints are just different from their usual P&S or disposable camera prints,
that's all !!
With final exams a mere 3 weeks away, he needs to knuckle down and do
some swot. I have to say that phone calls (or letters - or even e-mails) from
him are something of a rarity, not least of all this one set another record -
he
wasn't asking for something <g>.
So - it's a nice feeling for a while.
Brian
