CH,
I wasn't taking anything "seriously" :-) I just wanted to get a feel for the
noise level of
the LS-4000, when I could hardly see any on my LS 40's.
The one thing that I like less about my scanner is that most scans come out
with a
slight blue/cyan cast. Earlier I used to fix that with a touch of the blue (or
cyan)
curve in PS but I have discovered that a better way to do it is by reducing
the blue
setting for the 'analog gain' by 0.8 or less. I hear that all coolcscan
scanners are
plagued by this problem. How about yours ?
-Tim
